As part of the activities related to the diagnosis, recovery, management and enhancement of cultural heritage, increasing attention is paid to a multidisciplinary approach that allows for preventive conservation to be carried out and which, at the same time, facilitates the dissemination of cultural resources. , so that these can be a flywheel for tourism.With this in mind, the Crati project (Knowledge and restoration through advanced integrated technologies) is aimed at the development of a multidisciplinary system of diagnostics and conservation using innovative methods and, at the same time, the development of an integrated IT system aimed at management and the enhancement of the heritage under study.The historic center of Cosenza will be selected as a "pilot site"; in particular, based on the know-how of the project partners, some monuments in the historic center on which it will develop will be chosen:-A diagnostic system based on 3D relief that will allow the identification of the architectural portions of the monument most damaged, in order to define the intervention priorities;-Innovative conservation methods that involve the use of 3D printing and the development of low-cost consolidating and protective products as well as low environmental impact;-Development of a HBIM, Historic Building Information Modeling model, which, starting from the relief of the structure, allows to obtain a geometric model. This model allows you to develop a digital representation that reflects the real conditions of the building and provides all the features and information available regarding the geometry and state of conservation, but also an information model based on accurate, coordinated and coherent three-dimensional objects, which it can be used to automatically produce documents relating to the state of conservation and to some analyzes, as well as providing a very useful basis for the virtual visualization of the same;For the management of the HBIM model, in addition to all the data connected to it, a platform will be developed that will offer all the functions necessary to ensure accurate control of the diagnostic, restoration and enhancement processes that revolve around a specific architectural asset.
